We are about QUALITY and SERVICE. We are people like you. We are your neighbors, your associates, your fiends, brothers or sisters. We have either experienced incarceration or have a loved on who is or has been in prison. We ARE NOT opposed to punishment for crimes. We simply think that the punishment should fit the crime. Be believe that prisons are an economic drain on our system. We believe that diverting financial resources to the building and operating of schools is preferable to building more prisons. Education is the antidote to crime. It is a proven fact. We feel that the Parole System should be re instituted in the Federal Judicial SystemMore resources should be put into rehabilitation; minor drug offences should not be handled as they are now. Long term sentences create more problems then they solve

VOTING RIGHTS FOR FELONS MUST BE RETURNED.
The New York Times, in recent editorial comments referred to the practice of prohibiting felons from voting as not only cruel, but harmful to our democratic system and must be corrected. Once a felon has completed his sentence, the right should be restored automatically. |
